The fully automatic COUGAR, stationary on legs, 54 inches between tracks is nearing completion. It has a hydraulic log tuner, clamps, and posts, all in an "electric over hydraulic" control box.
Our sawmill here at the farm is an upright PANTHER band saw head operating in conjunction with a Frick carriage. It features a 36 inch throat, uses 26-inch all-steel bandwheels and a 2-inch sawblade. It is powered by a 25-hp electric motor.
We have acquired a used portable circle-sawmill that is for sale. Tim has been working on getting it setup in order to demonstrate. There is no power source included, it runs from the PTO shaft of a tractor. Looks much like the Foley-Belsaw brand, but a bit bigger. Contact us if you're interested, it will be priced to sell.
